Mewarnai Taman, Mengikat Kasih
Like most railway towns, Kluang was one that boomed with the opening of its railway station in the early 1900s. Receiving commuters from far and wide, either searching for opportunity or community — the passing of the trains signalled new beginnings for all. Whether they were merely passing through on their way to stations beyond, stopping by for a cuppa or trading their wares, there was no denying the transformation that followed with each carriage that rolled along the tracks.
Fast forward to a century later, modern technology has transformed various modes of transport, but the railway remains the beating heart of the town. Kluang is now a stop on the Gemas–Johor Bahru Electrified Double Track Project (EDTP) undertaken by SIPP-YTL, the final upgrade in KTMB’s network to an electrified double track stretching from the southern tip of the peninsula to Padang Besar.
